This page is for parents and guardians of young people who use TrucklineMP. It explains our age rules, what we store, what is public, and how to contact us about your child's account.
1. Age rules
- TrucklineMP is not for children under 13. Steam, which you need to sign up, also requires users to be at least 13.
- Users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission.
- If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.
We don't check ages when people sign up. If you think your child is using TrucklineMP without permission, contact us (section 6).
2. What we store
For every account, we store:
- Account details: Steam details (SteamID64, Steam name and avatar), plus anything your child adds to their profile.
- Sign-in and security records: including IP addresses and a device cookie that helps us stop banned users coming back.
- Activity on TrucklineMP: companies (VTCs), events, support tickets, applications and notifications.
- Game records while they play: sessions, their position on the game map, jobs, playtime and in-game chat. Chat is kept for 90 days, so staff can deal with reports.
- Moderation records, if they break the rules.
The Privacy Policy has the full details.
3. What other people can see
TrucklineMP is a public community. By design, these are visible to anyone:
- your child's profile, including display name, avatar, bio, SteamID64 and company memberships;
- their playtime, if they rank on leaderboards;
- their live position on the game map while they play (this is their position in the game, not in the real world);
- some moderation records, such as public bans.
Please help your child choose a display name and profile picture that don't reveal who they are in real life.
4. How we protect young users
- We don't show ads from ad networks, and we don't sell personal data.
- Analytics are off unless someone chooses to turn them on.
- We don't allow sexual content, content promoting self-harm or eating disorders, bullying, gore or other content that is harmful to children, for anyone of any age.
- Staff review reports, and we permanently ban anyone who sexually exploits children. We report them to the authorities.
- Everyone can report problems. We remove intimate images shared without consent within 48 hours of a valid report.
5. Your rights as a parent or guardian
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about your child's account;
- correct it;
- delete the account and its data.
Email [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable proof that you are the child's parent or guardian and that the account is theirs. We act quickly on credible requests to delete a child's account.
6. Contact and urgent concerns
- About a child's account: [email protected]
- Reporting a problem: https://trucklinemp.com/support
- If a child is in danger: contact the police or emergency services first.
- In the UK: you can also report online child sexual abuse to CEOP at https://www.ceop.police.uk.
7. Talking to your child
We suggest you:
- agree which features your child uses (chat, companies, events, recruitment);
- turn on two-factor authentication for their account;
- read Information for Young Players and the Code of Conduct together.
